In season 1, episode 18 the love story of Fred Rountree and Piper Rountree is shown . This does not end well for Fred Rountree or Piper Rountree as Fred Rountree turns up dead and Piper Rountree is Convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to Life .

The show is titled, Wigs and a Gun and is described as: After her divorce, a woman hatches a diabolical scheme to kill her ex-husband and get her kids back.

There was a huge amount of venom in this divorce. Piper was failing to support herself, let alone pay child support. Her solution? Kill her ex husband and regain custody of the children. It doesn't work out well for her or Fred.
